Context
Technological advancements have always resulted in jobs being lost, but the speed of AI advancements means there are multiple industries facing the same problem. From education to illustration to customer service roles, ChatGPT, and its underlying technology is going to drastically reshape our modern world.
Talking particularly about the Education sector, ChatGPT sparks concerns about the future of education: Will it impact the 'integrity' of academic institutions?

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence that has the power to change education. The industry has yet to find out whether it's for better or worse. While it can be a valuable tool for teachers and students, it can also be an easy way to plagiarize and cause an over-reliance on technology. As teachers and students learn more about ChatGPT, the AI chatbot has stoked fears of an educational apocalypse. Some teachers see it as the reboot education sorely needs.

The most detrimental effect of having ChatGPT in the classroom is that now, distillation of knowledge from complicated queries takes away the personalization of the learning process. It is just too easy for students to get by in their classes while having ChatGPT do the work for them. With nearly 90 percent of students already admitting to having used ChatGPT to do
class assignments for them, it’s abundantly clear this technology will stunt students’ development.

On the contrary, the survey, which was done in early February, found 63% of students and 72% of teachers agreed with the
sentiment that ChatGPT is "just another example of why we can’t keep doing things the old way for schools in the modern
world," and 73% of teachers said the tool "can help students learn more."
